Tropea is one of the most beautiful towns in Calabria on the south Tyrrhenian coast. It overlooks a crystal clear blue sea with stupendous white, sandy beaches and fantastic rock formations. The town of Tropea has almost completely preserved its 16th century planning and is both historically and architecturally fascinating. The surrounding countryside is gorgeous.

The Tropea marina is very new, this being its second year open. They have just finished the office and shopping area and a fabulous open air theater inside the marina. The new base is only 40 metres from the yachts and has excellent reception, briefing, and storage areas. The Aeolian Islands are only 30 miles from Tropea, closer than they are from Vibo Valentia. This new base offers sailing in the Tyrrenhian Sea, Pontine Islands, Phlegrean Islands, The Gulf of Naples, The Sorrento and Amalfi coasts, Coast of Cilento, Aeolian Islands, Egadi Islands, Sicily, Sardinia, and Corsica.
